BEAST finds its origins at the University of Warwick, which has one of the best behavioural and economic science departments in the world. Previously, the founders along with other enthusiastic students and academics started the Warwick Behavioural Insights Team which focusses on solving human-centred challenges at the local level. Perhaps this idea – which developed at the University of Warwick cafeteria – has now expanded its ambition towards the aim of empowering the lives of billions within the global south.
