Behavioural Finance and
Make better behavioural decisions regarding your investments and measurably improve portfolio performance
Immersive Learning Experience
Warren Buffett famously said that to be a successful investor in the stock markets, you don’t need to be smarter than the rest, but you need to be more disciplined than the rest. Now what he meant, and as numerous academic studies have now shown, is that investors lose out on returns in the financial markets not because of the quality of their investments, but because of the quality of their behaviours. This course is here to change that. It will give you a comprehensive understanding of the psychology underlying the financial markets so that you can understand investor and market behaviour better, avoid or combat decision biases, and identify profitable opportunities that may arise due to mispricing caused by market irrationalities or exuberance.
Mode: 100% Online
Type: Self-Paced (suggested time: 8 weeks)
Individual decision-making is not nearly as rigorous and objective as people believe, and financial markets are not always as rational and efficiently priced as people presume.
Behavioural Finance explains these irrationalities in investor and market behaviour to shed light on how we can produce superior economic outcomes and avoid costly mistakes.
In this course, you will learn:
The theoretical and empirical underpinnings of behavioural finance
The psychology driving investor and market behaviour
How to avoid and combat behavioural biases that impede portfolio returns
Behavioural Finance based trading and investment strategies that exploit mispricing of securities
